What does sodomising a woman mean

I think, the word "sodomize" comes from an old story in the Jewish Bible. In a place named Sodom, people did things that were seen as really bad. Once, some visitors came to a stranger's house there. At night, the men in the town wanted the stranger to bring out the visitors so they could do something wrong with them, which means have sex with them.

Because of this story, having sex in a way that some people see as wrong got called "sodomy," and when one man does this to another, it's called "sodomize." A man who does this might be called a "sodomite."

Afterward, these words got used for all types of sex, except for a man and a woman having sex. Some places in the US made laws against all kinds of sodomy. But recently, the courts in the US said the government can't control private, agreed-upon sex between adults. So, most of these laws are not used or are not allowed anymore.
